Just thought I'd start a little census here. Generally what setting do you guys use on your DT880 headband. I use 4 clicks from complete bottom(smallest setting) on each side.
I'll add a poll when I can see what results will be typical.

Slightly more than 5 dots, on both sides. I don't like the feeling of my earlobes being touched by the pads. Also, the Meier Audio website recommends that headphones sound better when they're a bit lower + more forward on your head.

Actually, 4 to 6 is probably average, depending on how you prefer the earpads and headband to be positioned. Don't think my head is particularly big, but I use 5 dots as well.

We seem to have two different standards going but that's ok.

5 clicks / 3.5 dots. Keeps the pads from sitting on the top or bottom of my earlobes.

I like the poll. I use four dots if I want em tight and five when I want them looser.

Seriously, I didn't know there were dots on the inside. Reading this led me to experiment a bit and end up where I started, at 3 dots. There is a bit too much high end emphasis with 4 dots so I suppose I am using positioning as a tone control.
