So ive been reading about the akg 271 bluetak mods and was thinking of how it would sound with my dt660's. Theres quite a bit of space and lots of open plastic with only small amounts of cotton dampening inside each earcup. What im thinking is trying the bluetak mod on them because i find the highs can be much to bright at times.

Anyone think i should try it out? Will the bluetak material leave residue all over the place if i decide i dont like the sound?

Also, should i put loose cotton and/or polyfill on top of the bluetak? Apparently that can help as well.
