Beyer DT250/80 vs DT250/250 + Headsave Vibe?

I don't know much about the 250/250 and 250/280 phones.
What I do know is that you'll probably get a lot more responce when you ask about them in the headphone forum.

The best way on this board to go about asking question about an entire new set-up is to start asking questions about one of the components seperately and then ask what will suit them best. At least that's how I experiance this board works best.
Good luck!

Hmm, the Beyers I have owned, the dt990s, dt770s, dt531's all sound awesome with the porta corda II. But that's probably more than you want to spend. I know that the headsave mint vibe I had was capable of driving the dt531's even though it's for low impedence cans. I may prefer the PCII, but the headsave vibe is a good solid performer, and I've heard far worse that cost much more. It could be worth a shot to email Norm and ask him about high Ohm cans like the dt250/250's.
