Hello people,
Just a curiosity. I was wondering how those beyerdynamic headphones can modify their response. Is it some kind of physical mechanism or an electronic addon? I was not able to figure it out reading the reviews.

There are a series of 3 apertures of different sizes (smallest to largest, closed to open). A radial mechanical cover is adjusted by the user to cover 2 of the 3 holes at any given time and choose the extent to which the cans are open.

It's a cool little effect, and paired with some 770 velour pads the custom ones ain't bad at all.
