Has anyone tried Beyerdynamic buds like the DTX10, DTX20, DTX40? How do they compare to the Sennheiser MX550 and various Sony models e.g. EX71?

Nobody knows about them? I am wondering whether they have better bass than other similarly priced buds...

I have both DTX10 and DTX20. As a new just-open-package, you will hear "What a h*ll..." sound. As I read another headphone review web site, those earphone need to be burned-in. My pairs are still in this process so can't tell it's good or not yet.
FYI, these earpieces are bigger than MX earpbones.

Finally, I found someone! Please, let me know what you think of these and particularly how well they handle the bass.

Well, only you focus on bass, I would say like this from my quick testing;

EX51>MX400>>DTX10>DTX20

As total score, I suggest MX400 from above. EX51 is too strong on high and low freq. Bayers are not bad, but not focused on bass.
