Between Benchmark Dac1(Non-usb) and ORitek OMZ Dac What does you choose

OMZ !!!
Ori have done me a 4.2 version, with many improvments
Also
It cost less than the Bench, and include headphones amp and a Pre amp
What's not to like there ?

There is a huge older Zhaolu Thread that I have not read in quite some time. Do a search, I believe there was some good discussions in it including a comparison (I do not swear by it, my old memory is not as good as that of you young chaps.

The OMZ is in a different class of audio players. You'd better compare it against top-notch CD players, to be fair with the stock Zhaolu !

I own a stock Zhaolu and a number of the OMZ. The discrete output stage (board) is the heart of the OMZ, actually, given the other parts of the Zhaolu are decent as well.

In terms of musicality, I don't think the DAC1 is good (enough). The OMZ wins hands down.

resurrecting an ancient thread.

has any one compared the oritek omz with a pre unit, i wonder?

i'm thinking of getting a BM pre, and i'm currently using an oritek omz
