of course, there has been a great amount written on this site comparing the sr80 to ms1. i have read volumes, but am hoping to get some input in respect to jazz music. does either headphone seem more conducive to listening to jazz (i.e., bebop to cool jazz to hard bop)?

The MS-1's would be more appropriate for jazz, they're slightly more balanced sounding. Coltrane sounds good on them
