Better computer 2.1 speakers(comparison)?

My Logitech Z-2300s served me well when I had them. I ended up destroying the tweeters because I got a little carried away with the volume, but you get a lot of sound for that price. Best Buy carries them if you want to test them out. That little 8" sub will throw some bass that you won't believe. I used it to simulate recoil when playing Half-Life 2. Don't know much about the other Logitech product line, but my one experience has been good.

frequency response 31Hz - 20kHz
power handling FTC Rated Per Satellite: 55 watts/channel @ ≤ 1% THD, 200Hz - 1KHz (Note: all channels driven)
FTC Rated Subwoofer: 50 watts @ ≤ 7% THD, 40 - 100 Hz
Max Burst Power*: 200 watts @ ≤ 1% THD (Note: all channels driven)
*Maximium Burst Power indicates the actual power this amplifier will deliver to the speakers under normal operating conditions. While the FTC power rating indicates power available on a continuous, long-term basis, multi-channel systems do not rely on that type of power. Instead, the amplifier is called upon to deliver large, short-term bursts of power to be able to support today’s digital music, games and movie formats. In addition to the required FTC power rating, we have provided the maximum burst output as a better indication of the product’s true performance.

From my experience, I'd avoid Logitech speakers. They're all bass and treble with the midrange completely sucked out, and that's with the bass and treble controls as far left as possible.

I bought the X230 for my sister long time ago. They are decent...the bass is actually pretty powerful for such a little sub.

Altec Lansing VS-4121

I will go for VS 4121. I had it for around 4 years. Midrange is the its best asset. Sounds Like my Grado SR60. Try it, cos its a bang for your money.

I just got a pair of Swans M200MkII speakers for $189.00 from AudioInsider.com. They're really very nice speakers, let alone nice computer speakers. I'm using them straight out of an Airport Express, up in my bedroom, and they are far, far better than any other computer speaker I've ever heard. I have them on small stands. Sure, they're not up to the standards of my Naim or (ancient) B+W speakers, but these are comparable to much more expensive bookshelf speakers. Very highly recommended.

My experience with PC Speakers: Spend atleast $100, or bust. The Logitechs under $100 are muddy, boomy, and are flat out unenjoyable to listen to. The Z-2300s are actually decent to listen to - but can't go too loud without them breaking. I would just avoid Logitech when it comes to speakers in general.
