So I've been using windows tablets with AIMP installed as my portable music device for the last 5 years and since then it seems some major strides have been made in DAP's.
 
I would need a wifi enabled device with seemless DLNA playback. I have 2 TB's of lossless and high res audio and assett upnp installed on my pc as my music server.
 
I prefer natural warm analog sounding sources. I would prefer something android based with google play access so I could install Tidal as well. I'd want the player to have robust EQ and DSP options. 6-20 hrs battery life and a good reliable wifi chip with AC compatibility.
 
So far it looks like the Pioneer XDP-100R meets my needs. Is this the best player like this? Any other options that meet my requirements?

Looks like this may be harder than I thought the Pioneer seems to have wifi issues and build quality issues and is discontinued, Same with the Onkyo DP-X1
 
Is there a player that meets my needs that isn;t full of issues?

While slighltly out of my Price range the FIIO X7 also seems to meet my needs. What are the opinions of using this as a DLNA player? Any wifi stability issues? Do all EQ settings still apply when using DLNA? Any quality limitations?
 
Also which amp modules gives a natural warm analog sound signature?

Maybe Cayin i5 will match your requirements. You may take a look at it.

Looked into the Cayin I5 and it also has wifi issues and is not a reliable audio player in that regards.
 
Oh Well it does not look like a workable audio player for me exists I just want a good sounding player with good reliable wifi for DLNA or Tidal, that doesn't sound like something so out of reach but i guess it is.
 
I'll stick with my Windows Tablets. They don't have fancy Dac's but the wifi works and AIMP software works really well to tweak the audio to sound really good on headphones. I'll check back in a few years to see if a decent reliable wifi player is ever released.

I used my DP-X1A with DLNA when I'm home. What issues are you talking about DLNA on DP-X1A?

Glad to hear DLNA works on the Onkyo, I re read the thread here and see what I saw about issues but at least you got it to work how I would use it.

If you use singled-ended output it should last longer. Balanced output consumes more power But, 8 hours at least with a mixed of hi-res files and CD-rip files using balanced out is typical.
 
No reported issues yet about headphone sockets on DP-X1A
