I currently have a MacBook Pro and a schiit lyr2 with a bifrost using a usb connection

I own a pair of HE 1,000 headphones
 
 
 
 
best way to get balanced audio to these headphones ....I need a new dac and amp but will they substantially upgrade the audio I am sending through a usb?

Im not getting the magic out of these headphones
do I need an original source with balanced audio?
I mean .......im very happy with what I have and everything sounds great but I'm looking to do it right
