Hello,

I've used the AV-710 with various set-ups for a couple years now. At some point I read that it may be advisable to set the volume at less than the maximum in order to reduce possibility of clipping. I use kernel streaming and upscale to 88200 through the high quality output (though the software isn't in hi-mode, which would demand a 96000 signal). Foobar is set to 32-bit output (24 padded to 32 doesn't seem to be an explicit option on this version I downloaded a few months ago). Opinions I've read here and elsewhere (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/...hp/t38136.html) seem inconclusive. I'm concerned that lowering volume might decrease bit depth. If you advise to lower volume, please specify, if possible, whether I should use the foobar volume DSP or use master volume (and use Kmixer necessarily). I'm outputting to a Headroom Home amp with DT-880s. Any advise appreciated.
