I'm finally looking to buy another pair of headphones after using throwaways for several years.

Last time I checked there were several widely regarded options for under 100 and even under 50- the KSC75/PortaPro and S500 come to mind.

Now I see the Pioneer SE-A1000 and others garnering interest.

So, what do you think the best headphone or IEM value is at the moment?  (I'd prefer something not completely open and under 40$ but thought the discussion might be interesting beyond those restrictions too.)

I just bought a pair of KSC75s at Office Depit for 14.99....lol....these lil suckers jam. Very detailed with decent bass....very enjoyable especially considering they're price. I hope I can fit them under my motorcycle helmet.

Are you really planning to use a motorcycle with your headphones on?

I think the porta pro's are good value but they leak sound.  For a closed option consider the ATH-Ws55
