What would be the best USB soundcard to connect to my HA-1 Mk II, in order to listen to my FLAC rips (with DT-880)?

It would obviously have to act as a DAC as well.

Btw, I have both USB 2.0 and Firewire ports available.

And I need two RCA outs (L+R) to connect to the HA-1 Mk II.

take a look at the M-Audio Audiophile USB or M-Audio Audiophile Firewire. i believe the Firewire would be the better of the two since it is newer, but thats just my assumption.

Yes, I was already considering the M-Audio products. Anybody else? Anybody that has tried both the USB and Firewire products?

Take a look at the Edirol UA-25, some on Head-Fi say that it's headphone out is as good as many midlevel headphone amps.
As far as the M-Audio Audiophile's, USB audio support is a bit more refined than Firewire.

gorman: Well, you could use it with adaptors, but I'd rather recommend you to go for the Aureon 7.1 Firewire instead - with that thingy, you'd get some more ht features and a phono pre for mm (& mcho) pickups as well. And it looks cooler.

Oh, and just btw., one can use both the Phase and the Aureon as standalone dacs, too.

Greetings from Hannover to Milano!

P.S.: The Aureon also features a remote control, btw...

I'm not interested in gaming performance or multichannel...

And I read on the forums somebody mentioning that Aureon's DAC is worst than Phase 24's...

Is anybody able to tell me if I could connect the Phase 24 analog output to my Corda HA-1?
