I'd recommend the DT-880 600 ohm,

If you want a closed cans, KNS8400, or DT-770 Pro.

I don't really like the M-50s, it does everything, but isn't excellent at anything.

It might help to know what source(s) your plugging the headphones into?
Sometimes adding a headphone amplifier helps the sound.

Headphones for monitoring electronic music...
1. GMP 8.35
2. Ultrasone PL/Pro-650
3. M-50

For monitoring acoustics, or more flat FR demands,
1. GMP 8.35
2. AKG K-240MKll
3. AKG K-271MKll

I fund the 8.35 to be my closed back, because they keep a good balanced between the flat FR and monitoring bass in the studio.

I own the DT770 pro 80ohm  and ATH 50's- I don't go near the ATH's anymore--I plan to give them away to the next homeless person I meet and think of worth.

The DT770 pro's i have listened to them and the quite good for generally listening to music but they are just to bass heavy and unbalanced for monitoring, but still are very good headphones. From what i have read the SRH840's are probably one of the best flat response headphones but don't have the bass response like the ATH M50 which is more beneficial when producing electro music. So I'm most likely going to get the ATH M50s, every reviewer seem quite pleased with them.
Thanks for all the help guys. :)
