I bought a pair of HD 650s used and it didn't come with a box. Can anyone recommend a good, affordable storage box/container for these headphones? Are the original boxes the best for storing these? If so, how much does a box usually cost?

I think on eBay, you can get a storage case for the HD650 for around $25.

What are your needs for it? Just something to keep dust off of them or do you want it to be shock/water proof? 
 
You can't go wrong with a nice pelican case and just cut out the foam to hold the cans and even some of your components.
 
Do a little research and figure out what size pelican fits your needs if you want to go down that road.... It's all personal preference IMO and we don't know your needs.

If you do not use other headphones may just be a better idea to hang them for easy access. If you just need to put them a way I like this solution the most:

If you need an actual box, I would go the Pelican hardcase route as previously mentioned.
