How do you go about getting the best possible stereo sound from your ps4? Obviously I still need to be able to chat also. I am tired of the gimmick of virtual surround, i cant hear the sound cues and think stereo just sounds so much better. So does anyone play in stereo and what is your setup. Im trying to avoid using the jack on the ds4.

Well, I disagree that virtual surround is a gimmick, it has worked great for me for the last 6 years on PS3/PS4.
 
To get the BEST possible stereo sound out of the PS4 I would recommend that you use a nice amp/DAC that accepts optical form the PS4.

I am interested in this topic also. I have an astro mixamp pro 2013, nowadays there's many talk in the squad that I can't localize cues.. So I am more interested in sound quality than directional sound

Also interested in chat mixing

I have an eye in the fostex Hp-A4, to use as Dac-Amp with ps4

Im still very interested in what people think.. Ive done a ton of research and cant find anything on a stereo option somewhat like the mixamp pro.
