Best stereo/active monitor for 400$?

Hi, i want to replace mi 5.1 for a good stereo system. I will connect them to a pc whit asus sonar st.
 
Some people recommend me the behriger b2031A, but i want to hear some more experiences and alternatives.

I'd go with this one for both the sound and convenience - it has a Master-Slave set-up, so one speaker has only one volume knob, and it's in front too. 


 
For pro monitors, I'd go with these Samson monitors from among the locally available stuff here that I've listened to (which admittedly aren't many), but I'd use some kind of preamp between it and the DAC (or a DAC that has a preamp) to control the volume instead of reaching over behind each speaker.
