Hello,

I've been patiently waiting for Cowon O2, but I really want a step up from my ZVM60GB in terms of playtime.

What would you recommend? I need the best SQ possible + SD card expandable... So it'll be most likely be a flash player...
I don't really want to get D2, because it has no line-out (I wanna get a Heron for my Triple.fi)..
Please point out something with a good battery life + SD cards + line out...

P.S. 32GB of built-in memory is also a great plus.. I'm a bit spoiled by my ZVM60GB... don't want to go down with space.

Video or screen size and quality are not important at all.

Sounds like your gonna' be waiting for the O2 as it's gonna' have amazing SQ, sd card integration, decent battery life.

I went for a Fuze with a 16 GB miscoSDHC card, never been happier. Reat sound, FLAC support and drag n drop. Great.

18 hours don't really sound like decent battery life compared to, say D2...

the D2 is great,
as for the O2, if theres something that creative and iriver have taught us is that you should not say something has good sound quality without testing it first,

That's what I'm really afraid of here as well...
Poor SQ.

For something that big I want an exclusively good SQ.

There is a reason the D2 is one of the best DAP out there. Only thing that is wrong with it is the bass rollout but since you said that u want to use a line out you prob are using an amp witch eliminates that problem.

I wish they update D2 to 32GBs.

Just buy an SD Card, then you'll have that much space. The D2 treats whats in the card just the same as the internal memory.

EDIT: I just re-read the thread and realised you probably already knew that, but still whats the big deal? You can have less space or carry another card with you.

16 gig player plus 32 gig card = 48 gigs

I wish all makers would start making 32GB offerings ... or even 64GBs... Including SDHC expansion slots is admitting that there's a market demand for more storage -- why not meet that demand directly?

The cost of flash memory has dropped to the point where 32GB can be had for about the price 16GB fetched when 16GB players were first introduced ... now making 16GB players comparatively over priced...
