Best sounding (non-EQued/non-modded) player you've heard in your puny little life.

iRiver H10
Creative Zen
Samsung P2
Cowon S9

These are ones I currently have or used to have, and the S9 sounds better, with just the rock preset, I still have to mess with the detailed eq settings, if I ever feel like it.

You may find this hard to believe, but my 2 year old
Creative Zen Nano sounds better (just a little) than my
newer 2 and 4 gig Clips. same mp3 song with same phones
Now, when it comes to ease of use and capacity - the clips
win - hands down !

YMMV

You may find this hard to believe, but my life is by no means 'puny'.

3. iriver h120
4. recently acquired sansa clip - although still trying to figure out the best earbuds for it (sound literally sucks with v-moda vibes; happy for now with shure e4g; interesting when amped with tomahawk+yuin pk1...)

My HD10GB7 holds charge just like any other DAP, and they are replaceable. Just check your user manual.
But I have no idea where to find the spare battery.
If someone know, tell us please!
