This is pretty much a popularity contest. I expect one of the ipods to win this poll simply because they're so popular.
30mw per channel ? wow perhaps thats too much. My Iriver T10 is rated 15mw per channel and I never go past 30 with maximum being 40.

Let's see. I've tried the iaudio g3, iaudio 5, iaudio u3, Creative muvo slim, ifp-195t, iriver ifp-799t, samsung yp-u1, and the ipod shuffle, and I choose the shuffle for best sound because it's the only flash player I've heard that sounds like a full size DAP.

I'd have to go with the Shuffle as well but the only other flash drive I've owned was a Creative Muvo and I wasn't particularly impressed.

I consider my dad's U2 to be the best sounding unamped DAP I ever heard of.
For an average user, iaudio's SQ comes as a genuine surprise. It beats my 4G ipod and my sister's nano by such a margin its really not funny. I believe my next dap could be an iaudio when they come up with an X5 replacement. I wasn't very impressed by my roommate's shuffle, but I think that is due to that fact that it was hooked up with ipod earphones and low bitrate mp3s.
I maintain my opinion that ipods remain the best DAPs to amplify.
P.S. I think ipods have such an advantage when it comes to polls. iPods dominate especially in the states where 90% of all daps are ipods!! I wouldn't be too surprised to see the shuffle win by a massive margin.

Edit: I have not heard any of these but may be buying one soon.

The shuffle is romping it in!
I must admit I thought it would get a little more competition from the iAudio players. I have noticed that nobody so far has come out and said they like the Shuffle's sound better than the iAudio players after hearing both...
