It just got this download yesterday.

In the pdf liner notes, it tells what to listen for in each track like; deep bass, rhythm & timing, depth, dynamic response, and so on. It's in 24/94 and seems like most of tracks are recorded with a single mic giving everything a natural soundstage.

I plan to get a lot more familiar with this album so I can easily test the difference between headphones. I should be getting a chance to test my L3000 against the PS1000 and HD800 in the next few months. Can't wait.

Here's more detail on what it tests. But these a real music tracks. Mostly jazz and some classical.

Amadou and Mariam's "Dimanche a Bamako" is an absolute joy to listen to on headphones. It was produced by Manu Chao and is awash with his trademark whistles and thrills bouncing all over your head, and the recording s.q. has a rare, dynamic, sweet, lively, natural joyfulness about it... ah, it makes sense if you listen!!

Tool - Lateralus is brilliant on headphones. The panning drums are the best.

symphony x - "v - the new mythology suit"

as already said... porcupine tree- "in absentia"

and the list can continue..but these are the best! sound great both with my AH-D5000 and the RS-1.

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones - Live at the Quick. I'm sure it's not completely binaural, but it's been well engineered to sound that way. With my HD600s I can close my eyes and hear where each musician stands on the stage.

I've also really been enjoying Genesis' Foxtrot since getting the HD600s.
