Im going to be using mainly my laptop next year while at college so that means no more av710 card ive grown to love *tear*.

anyway whats there in the way of somehing i can use for audio on my laptop? is there anything budget priced around the av710 price?

if not. if i just go ipod --> cmoy --> sr-225 will that be decent sounding possibly?

Probably nothing comparable to av710 price. The m-audio transit for around $99
is probably closest you're going to get.

I've got the transit and love it, got it from J&R for 64.99+shipping. I've heard good things about the ESI Wave Terminal, supposedly a nice improvement over the Transit. I think they go for around $150 or so.
