I am looking for a very short (no more than 1ft and even 6" would do) 3.5 male to female extension cable. I use Bose QC25 for PC use and it is a pain to constantly remove and attach the headphones to the rear PC audio port. The front don't work well, so I am only using the back.

I used to use a headset to PC adapter (01-PH35-PC35, currently sold by headphone buddy (or at least their version of it) at https://www.amazon.com/Headset-Buddy-Headphone-Adapter-PH35-PC35/dp/B00332DPDG) and not plug in the pink mic input. I'd only use the green audio.

However, I do know that it did introduce a slight change to the audio profile. It felt almost warmer, if that makes sense.

I would like just a high quality extension cable that does not introduce any interference sounds from poor shielding or an audible hum when using my headphones. I always keep the noise canceling feature on, as well. The top rated extension cable on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/CableCreation-Female-Extension-Adapter-Connector/dp/B01K3WY6YA/) has a reviewer commenting on audible hum (and another extension cable also introduces a hum when using a Bose QC headphone per reviewer (https://www.amazon.com/Cmple-Stereo-Headphone-Extension-Female/dp/B005JVMKJ4).

Do you have any recommendations? Thanks!

EDIT: I found https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=5586 this but it is 3ft long. I don't need that much, but will get it if it is a good cable as it does say that "each conductor is shield[ed?] to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system." I do know that the longer the cable, the worse the quality of transmission (or something to that effect), so not sure if 3ft would introduce sound issues. Worried that the Monoprice one may be too thick and add some additional stress and weight to the headphones jack in the PC, however.

Thanks! I only need it for headphone purposes, not a mic (as I have a separate mic and don't use my Bose inline mic).

Is this the UGREEN that you used? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0919NSDS1/

I have that white Cable Creation extension. For me, the noise with a lav mic was unacceptable. It was fine with just headphones. But all of my UGREEN nylon braided cables have been flawless.

Wonderful, thank you!

Last thing, do you think this one: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Extension-Headphone-Extender-Compatible/dp/B08S6WGZ1F would be any better? The only negative is that it's 3ft instead of the 1.5ft you have (I prefer shorter length) BUT this new one is a right angle connector. Do you think that would be better to avoid needless stress on the headphones jack on a computer motherboard?

That one is probably fine. I’ve had good experiences with UGREEN cables. I don’t like the right angle end on that one because it sticks out enough where I don’t think you’d gain any stress relief benefit.
I did buy these for the right angle :
Seadream 2PACK Newest 6 inch 3-Pole 3.5mm Male Right
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01D2E54H...abc_1EX3H8V2TKPSN19AAGWZ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I like how the right angle end is smaller and sits more flush when plugged in.
But the UGREEN nylon cable is so light it probably won’t put any stress on the jack.

THanks! I ended up buying the one you had linked earlier. So far so good!
