In the under $100, the D-jays are clear cut winners for best rock earphones (IMHO

), but now looking into the higher end models, what are the best earphones based on the following criteria :

- very good isolation : to be used in public transports
- comfort : will be worn at least 2 hours a day
- look : classy
- music : Muse, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, Queen, Green Day, Oasis, The Offspring, The Rolling Stones, ...

head-direct RE0's (getting tired of saying it now haha) worked amazing for the killers and kings of leon for me, not sure about muse..shall have to stick plug in baby on my mptrois after burn in

anyway they're $100

I gotta say I like their look, and the cord is different from the usual plastic ones... Would you say they are better than UE super.fi 5, phonak or Etymotic ER-4P ?

better than the UE 5's. Have a search, someone I believe on this forum compared them to ER-4P's putting them marginally just below them in terms of overall performance. Phonaks, this will be a good read for you:

In fact, I'm mostly considering Klipsch Custom 3 and Atrio Super Sonic M5. Don't you guys think these two would be the ultimate rock earphones ?

There's no such thing as the ultimate anything when it comes to audio. Plenty of people would argue with your first statement:
"In the under $100, the D-jays are clear cut winners for best rock earphones"
