This I'm really curious about. If you had a friend uninitiated in the world of decent audio, what you play through your system to show her what she was missing?

A few favorites:

Any Binaural demo (Like, say, this)
Children of Dune - The Jihad
Five For Fighting - Superman
Andrea Bocelli - Nessun Dor
Quindon Tarver - Everybody's Free
Linda Eder - Man of La Mancha
Joe Satriani (anything)

:~)

For the first 90 seconds, before all the background jazz muffles the vocals, Superman is quite nice. It's a very clean recording, perhaps the best I've heard in that genre for outright detail.

Excellent for back to back comparisons.

I am very fond of this guy.

(Warning, extremely long MP3. Right-click->download, play later. For once, I envy those of you with Ety's.)
