I'm looking to buy a pair of nice active speakers for my PC.

I mostly listen to 70s rock music or lets just rock music.

I want something a little bit warm and very dynamic.

Budget 200 bucks or so

I'm leaning towards M Audio Studiophile AV 40 speakers.

Can i get something better? What do you prefer?

Thanks!!!

How good are those and why do you think they are worth it?

Just curious

Swan M200MkII are another option, just letting you know. They go for around $140 now.

I wouldn't go for the M-Audios. Just too small to serve the music you like most.
I'd think about getting a sub, but your constraint is really your budget.

considering his musical preference, I wouldn't worry too much about a sub right now (though it's an imminent upgrade for the future)

I don't know if you'll find anything decent as far as active goes for that price.

You might look for something used that was around $4-500 new.

You won't get much bass, but you can live without that until later considering you are on a budget.
