Best quality sound: iRiver ihp-120 vs iRIver Clix2

Hello, I can buy a iriver ihp-120 to great price but I´dont now what´s the best player in quality sound betwen iRiver ihp-120 with Rockbox and iRiver Clix 2

I've personally had bad experiences with my clix2. To me it sounds plastic, too much low mids, and no depth. It was a very nice upgrade when I switched to the sony a816. Haven't tried the other iriver tho.

I second this, I prefer my sony a818 and even my d2, plus the clix seems cheap. I myself would go with the 120, I've heard great things about it and it has a digital out.

Pure SQ wise, the H1x0 -> Optical out to external DAC -> Amp -> headphones is a combination extremely hard to beat.

That said however, convenience wise, the Clix -> Headphone makes a very good ultraportable

Its up to you on what you want though, since to get the best out of the H1x0, your final setup is likely to be extremely bulky.
