Hey guys, I really need a good portable headphone amp to drive 250 ohm headphones.
I listen to metal, dubstep, and rap. I read mixed reviews about the Fiio E11 and aren't sure.
You guys have any advice?

The E11 should be fine for portable use, it has sufficient power and sound quality, and it is also just within your budget. Its main disadvantage is that it cannot be used from AC power or while the batteries are being recharged, which is annoying if used mainly at home.

I've tested the Fiio E11 with my 250-Ohm headphones, the E11 did a fine job.
Just remember to put the E11 on high power mode and high gain.
