Best portable amp under $100

One aspect of portable amps - that I found more important than I first thought - is crash survival probability. I can't tell about the alternatives but PA2v2 is good if you are as clumsy as me. Also, if it suffers damage for whatever reason, Gary says he will repair it for free... how about that?

Many say it's better than cmoys, and pa2v2. And It's got a recharging ac, so you don't really have to worry about bringing extra batteries with you.

many whom? I've seen very few reviews of this amp. The opamp max9724 is designed for cellphones, which leads me to believe that I will get this sound quality when new mp3 cellphones that uses this chip comes out.

thanks for the replies

If you're going for the PA2V2, you could email Gary (the maker) directly, instead of buying it through ebay. That way you'll get the amp right away and for about the same price, $60 including worldwide shipping.
He's a real pleasure to deal with. Very nice, and responds to all your mail's extremely quick.
