The HD650 is so common that it can be easy to buy used on this forum in mint coniditon and for less than $300.

If you do buy new, which is a good idea too, because I believe in supporting Sennheiser, buy from one of the sponsors at Head-fi.

I bought mine from brianf on eBay. Authorized, %100 pos feedback with over 1000 left. He lists at $550, but will sell for ALOT less, under $300 with his best price match. Fast shipping, and good communication.
