I am looking to buy open - over the ear headphones to watch movies on the laptop. Right now I am using sony closed - over the ear ones but they are not comfortable at all. Looking for ones which can be used daily for around 2 to 3 hours.
My assumption is that open - over the ear ones are more ergonomic to ears and hopefully do less damage then closed ones at the same sound level.
I have searched a lot, been searching for a week now lol and finally came to Sennheiser HD 558, 518 and 598. I was about to buy 598 but then I came across something new called "DAC and AMP", I really have no idea about amp/dac, upon searching more I found that I would need to buy an AMP for HD 598 if I want to use with laptop.
I really dont want to buy an AMP, so can someone please help me in choosing the right headphones for just watching movies on laptop which doesnt need an AMP?
I am not from the US, so we dont have a lot of brands available here, I will be using this site so I would appreciate if someone can tell me an option from this site (I am not sure if its allowed to post a link or not, if it isnt, then I am sorry)
Thanks!
