I was all set to purchase a pair of Grado's but I'm reading they're not the most comfortable set of headphones. I have a few pairs of decent quality over the ear headphones, but they're beginning to hurt my jaw, so I'm in the market for something extremely comfortable, preferably open-backed, large soundstage, etc. I really like the AKG K712 Pro for example. I just purchased a pair of LZ A5 IEMs and those sound fantastic, probably better than the K712's aside from the AKG's having that openness that I prefer, but having something in my ears is already beginning to annoy me, so now onto looking into on-ears.
After deciding against the Grados because of comfort I thought I'd just go with Koss Portapro and be done with it, but I'm reading that the quality might not be there anymore, or there are a lot of fakes going around, and that there might be better options these days.
I really only use headphones for movies most of the time.
Any opinions on something extremely comfortable that sounds great?
