Agreed. Final Fantasy 5 and 6, Seiken Densetsu 3, Tales of Phantasia (though the PSX version was a significant improvement), and Chrono Trigger were some great RPGs.

here are some more suggestions:

Super Conflict - The Mid East
Uncharted Water 2 (probably the best and most expansive snes game, i think there is a pc version)
Star Fox
Shadow Run
Prince of Persia 2 (frustrating)
Ogre Battle
Ninja Gaiden Triology
MKII
Killer Instinct
Gradius III
Earth Worm Jim
Demon's Crest
Black Thorne
Act Raiser
Alladin (suprisingly good game)
EVO Search for Eden

I would guess some of these cartridges are hard to find or expensive these day.

For NES - Ninja Turtles (not sure which one). The game is really funny and quite entertaining.

For SNES - Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest (a classic)

Hands down, not even thinking twice

NES = Exitebike
SNES = Chrono Trigger

No doubt in my mind. I would own both of those systems again if those games were readily available at a decent price.

It is recommended that you read the original post before posting.

im glad you had fun, but it is nerving to see that these games are enjoyed so and called rpg. they are fun, but far and away from pen and paper true rpgs. that said, terranigma had wonderful graphix, illusion of gaia was fun and zelda is the bam.

i guess i started on pen and paper and as my friends who play dwindled, i went to computer rpg like dungeon and dragons, ultima online, ultima series and some great free mmorpg like what was drasik.
