Obscure claims I know but I definitely wouldn't upgrade to Jriver 17 if the final sounds like this on my system.  If I asked for my money back from Jriver they would probably laugh at me...

I don't hear any difference between jriver 16 or 17 really. I hear a difference between players in general.

Yeah doesn't really make sense to me either, but I swear I can hear it

I just got jplay - in hibernate mode it makes Jriver sounds muddy!  I really need to build that music server...
