i need a replacement for the radio shack cable i have now, but i don't want to spen more than $30.

can i do better than headroom's straightwire portable mini to rca for 20 bucks?

I have the straightwire and it's OK, but nothing to rave about. Build quality is average, sound quality is average. I'm sure you could do better, but probably not for the price (and I'm not sure it's all that much better than a Radioshack cable, to be honest).

The audioquest mini series seems to be pretty good. I am using the Mini-3 right now and am so far impressed with the build and sound. I like the new series because it offers straight plugs and not the right angle ones. But I have not compared to any others.

Check with Blue Jeans Cable. I believe their cable is under $30. Its not yet on the web site, so you should call for a price.

would it provide a noticeable improvement over the ratshack mini? or would i need to spend more to notice much of a difference?
