best midrange you heard?

On a good source, the Mysphere 3.2 takes the cake. With portable DAPs it's either the Focal Utopia or Ultrasone Edition 15.

M-audio q40 (discontinued), xba a2 most musical, detailed. I haven't heard ath-es55 but i love that signature for being relatively natural, engaging, coherent. I heard the remax-303, a brandless chinese af bt 'phone with the same trend. I heard here on head-fi that audio technica w5000 has a very detailed midrange. Honestly the most detailed midrange i heard was from a skullcandy hesh or something but with a dark treble, so the midrange is isolated, so no sparkle or energetic liveliness. 303 and blue chinese 'phone had a present but non discriminatory treble, more so remax, not old m50 Doe.

HD650 mids on Bottlehead Crack/Speedball with Tung Sol 5998 was addicting.
While the HE-1’s was just a awesome listening experience there is something to be said about the 650/6XX’s and a Bottlehead Crack and do love my Tung Sol 5998 .

I have this exact combination, and I can confirm that it's pretty special.
