Just wondering if anyone has any experience on a good microphone for casting on the computer? I have been using a Blue Yeti Pro with mixed results and am considering a real microphone with a box in between to convert it for the PC.

Thoughts?

I tried various methods before I settled on an MXL V67. It's not a real broadcast quality mic (too dear) rather it's an inexpensive (~£100), modern knock off of a classic studio condenser. Noted as very versatle but particularly good with vocals and acoutic guitar. Which suits most of my needs in a single package. Overhead style stand was an extravagance but it looks and feels pro which helps with confidence when casting.

You do need an interface with 47 V phantom power and a semi decent mic pre amp. Prices start around £100. So actually the total rig would come in cheaper than the Yet and be much more versatile and future proof.

Aside btw: Found using a seperate microphone and headphones much superior to a headset at the same price point.
