After investigating tube amps sans volume control, its become apparent that none really exist (except where custom built), and the stepped attenuators are quite vital to quality volume control and sound.

So, I'm now going down the big ego route. I want an amp that is absolutely gorgeous (1st priority) and provides great synergy with Senn 600s (2nd priority). This is an ego thing, which I outwardly admit. I'd prefer wood trim, but I'm pretty open to the beauties that exist. My budget is ~$1200.

Any and all suggestions are appreciated

Hmmm, I'd drop by the Used gear forum for a SinglePower and see if that did it for you. Styling is decent sound quality is very good to great.
