Looking for a new set of speakers.  I have the Audyssey Lower East Side now, they sound really great, but bass can be really strong and they are kinda ugly next to my iMac. Sound is my top priority, but want something really compact and stylish too. Thinking about the following options, or if anyone has any other suggestions.

- Audioengine A2+ (White)
- Harman Kardon NOVA (White)
- Harman Kardon Soundsticks III
- Bose Companion 20
- Edifier USA e25 Luna Eclipse (White)

Am willing to jump into this price point if these are really worth it?

- Bowers & Wilkins MM-1

Stay out of Bose, might consider Edifier Spinnaker if they're not too big.

Soundsticks have the power on/off buton at the back of the sub - so if you put it under the desk, you'll be exercising quite a bit each time you will need to turn tchem on or off...

Kef LS50s are what I have for my desktop speakers coupled with a small amplifier (Micromega).
Paradigm MilleniaOneCT is where it's at for both impeccable sound and striking looks especially with a Mac.

Both of these are fantastic choices, although probably out of your budget range. For less money, I'd recommend the Absolute Zero: http://www.nhthifi.com/Absolute-Zero-White?sc=12&category=3772. Then get a small speaker amp. To stay even closer to your budget, you'll get better sound if you go with studio monitors. Might not consider them stylish, but these are a better choice than the ones you are considering: https://emotiva.com/products/powered-monitors/airmotiv-5s

If you are determined to stay with desktop multimedia speakers, I'd also suggest considering Focal

The Polk Audio Hamptons have been getting excellent reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-AM6510-A-Hampden-Powered/dp/B00II5T5HS
