Few that I know and like a lot...

Jazz:

1. Diana Krall "Live In Paris", "The Look Of Love", "When I Look In Your Eyes"
2. Cassandra Wilson "Blue Light 'Til Dawn", "New Moon Daughter", "Belly Of The Sun" (more like jazz/blues rather than "pure jazz")
3. "John Coltrane And Johnny Hartman"

You might also check out Sade ("The Best Of Sade" for example). It is not a "pure jazz" but jazz/soul/latino (and even a bit of raggae on "Lovers Rock). All her records earned "platinum" (or even multi-platinum) status.

And last but not least: Jane Monheit, Norah Jones and Ella Fitzgerald ("The Complete Ella In Berlin").

Blues:

1. Albert King With Stevie Ray Vaughan In Session
2. Buddy Guy "Sweet Tea"
3. Billie Holiday "Lady Sings"
