Currently looking to drop about $150 on a pair of nice IEM's.   I really REALLY love the sound of my CX-300 II and would like to upgrade.

Ive been looking at the Etymotic hf3's? How do these fare? Any other reccomendations?

I've combed tons of threads on this exact subject -- I just ended up with the Hf3s.

There is no doubt- they isolate very well.

I've owned Shure headphones in the past, and these trump them for certain (The e2c model).

Nice, thanks for the fast reply, the frequency response is capped at 15khz for the Ety's tho.   How do they fare with this slight cap?  Also ive read the bass is quite lacking on these?

Any of the Etys would do, the HF3s are very nice for the price. Dont' worry about the 15khz cap. Frequency ratings are generally done at -3Db/6Db so it's not that big of a deal. And anyway very little part of music is past 6khz or so.
