Good thing this thread is up. I'm looking for the same thing. Trying to figure out some options to get some isolation from earphones without resorting to using earplugs since I like to listen to music, but the quality of music is not a priority.

I can't tell when these things go on sale. The prices for er6i's keep going up and down. It was at $50 last year in november, then a few months ago was at 70, now it's 80 bucks!

JVC Marshmallows ($10-15), you can wear them for hours. They are cheap and easy to replace if they break or you lose them.

Or JVC Air Cushion, about $10-15 more.
