Hello,
I am what you would call a newbie when it comes to headphones and earphones and dont have much experience with them. I came here to this forum hoping you audiophiles could help me out. Im looking for a high quality in ear headphone that has a mic and volume control or can be replaced with a cable that has a mic and volume control. I was looking at the Klipsch s4i, Shure se215 and Shure se535. I am willing to spend $400+ as long as i know that it will be worth it. The think the Klipsch s4i comes with a mic and volume control on the cable while the Shure's iphone cable comes seperatly. Would replacing the shure's cable with an iphone cable make any difference in sound quality? Also how would you compare these 3 models and how much difference in sound quality is there between the 3? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

-Skull candy earbuds
-Bose IE2
-Beats by Dre Studio headphones (hated these)
-Bose QC2 Noise Cancelling headphones

Klpisch image X10i is even better then the S4.  They were my favorite universal IEM when I had just the X10 (without the mic)

How much better are x10i than the s4i? I also heard Klipsch's cords arnt very durable, has yours lasted awhile?

You may way to consider the the Etymotic H3s.
