Best impedance setting on Hornet for UM2?

If there's no discernable hiss, chances are adding resistance won't do anything except drain your amp's batteries.

You are going to want it as low as humanly possible, or else bumping the volume knob will make you go deaf.

Adding 90ohms to my UM2 killed the low end and mids. Not surprisingly, since adding resistors changes the frequency response.

Maybe there is a resistor type/value that has a minimal effect, not sure.

The type I used was a 1/8w 90ohm metal film resistor (one on each channel).

I listened to that setup for several hours, then tried it straight out of my D2. Using resistors felt like a muffled veil over my music. There is a soft hiss out of my players, but using resistance is not worth the SQ degradation.
