I may be a little late to the party, but I have enjoyed the budget models of both V-Moda and Klipsch, and I often buy these for my non-audiophile friends as a way of introducing them to the iem world. While I have some more expensive Westone models (both UM3X and W30) and they are much more detailed and clear, I certainly am not ashamed to compare both V-Moda and Klipsch sounds to other iems in that price range. I think they are great values.
If you want to reach out a little higher, the GR07 Bass Edition is amazing. I think it runs between $100 and $125. My son and I fight over it and currently he won, so it is off at college with him. Treat them carefully and you will not be disappointed. If you move up much more than that, you will want to consider detachable cables. That can cure a lot of build issues that sometimes show with the lower price iems.
