The Ultimate Ears 11 which retails for $1,150 and a trip to the audio doctor for a ear impression. The second best would be the Shure SE530 when properly EQed... I've heard the Westone 3 and a 150 hour burned in Sennheiser IE8 and they don't come close to my EQed Shure SE530.
I still perfer the Shure SE530 over them on my Zune 120's no EQ. There really is no better earphone in the top end universal IEMS and it all is a personal thing but I do believe that the Shure SE530 takes the cake with most music today since most today music has all of it's notes and details in the midrange which the Shure SE530's is untouched in.

Is there a big enough difference to warrant the 1,150 dollars.

Honestly no...

If you could jam the SE530 AND the UE11 into a single ear mold then you're talking!

Yeah, I doubt you can go much wrong with a pair of Ultimate Ears UE11 Pro.

No, It cost about $800 more. It is definitely not worth $800 more. Hands down. Tried it or not...
