hey guys,

i listen to Rock, Metal, Pink Floyd..sometimes Eagles.. and Trance also.

What IEM is good for me?

i didnt like the recessed highs in the UM1...so anything with little better highs.

mainly i want a good midrange but little clearer highs as compared to UM1

need one for the vacations...wont be carrying the full size cans.

I'm not sure how valid my opinion here is considering I'm new here and also new to all of this high end business but I was going to recommend either the Shure EC3's or the UE Super.Fi 4's.

i did try SF4 ..i didnt like it much.

i also didnt like the Denon C551..too much bass.

UM1 was awesome but the highs were very recessed..like they were missing.

UM2 are best but of my budget forever..considering its just for portable use.

How about smthg along the lines of UM2 but cheaper?

Do you care about base? If not then you could try the er6i's.

audiotechnica CK7 are great value; they need burn in though because they are dynamic. LOL do you care about bass hehe likes trance... do you care about base

Trance isn't just about bass. Trance = Bass and highs with minimal mids.
The life is sucked out of trance if there's no highs really.
Drum N Bass = well, you guessed it, predominately bass.
Remember just because it's an electronic-based genre doesn't means it's auto-bass and bass-only.
