Right now after some research I'm considering Shure's SE215 and Etymotic Research HF5 in ear headphones headphones both that I can get for $99 to give to my brother for Christmas.  However I figured to not only ask which two might be better to listen to movie score soundtracks and Broadway musicals but also if there is a third option that is better then the two above for such type of music around $150 and why.

Edit: I made the mistake of calling IEM as IEH still I hope people will understand what I mean.

Thank you for the reply.  I probably miss those IEM if not for the comment.  The reviews look very promising.  Currently being sold on Amazon for $170.  Is that a good price or is their a better deal elsewhere?

Thank you once again.  This was the reason I joined this website was to ask knowledgeable people or else I might miss out on the best IEM and price for my brother.  I hope he will enjoy them.

I hope he likes the sound signature as much as we gr07be fans do.

I have both
  1. Etymotic Research HF5 & Shure SE215

I love them both. They are not base heavy and extremely well balanced for acoustic type music like movie sound tracks with lush string instrumentation. Both are excellent for music on the go as they fit very securely. Sudden jolts of movement will not dislodge them.
