BDA-1 has a more coherent presentation. Better separation between instruments, blacker background, and better soundstage. What are your other equipments? and are you running either one balanced?

Everything is in my profile. My stat amp is balanced, my dynamic amp is not, so I run my DACs both ways.

Wow, that's a great-looking DAC . . . 32 bit Sabre chips, asynchronous, etc. But judging from their claim that it "exemplifies a luxurious lifestyle", I would assume it would be out of many people's price range.

For the high-end DACs, I've heard nothing but good things about the Berkeley Alpha DAC.
