It does not have that slight bump in the midbass, though, that the ECD-1 has, which makes the ECD-1 so appealing. Also, the ECD-1 has a slightly more forward midrange, which sounds nice, but is also congested. The BDA-1 is just a more refined/smoother presentation. That said, I can see people preferring the ECD-1. Still a wonderful DAC. |
