what are the best headphones that go for $50 to $80?

that's a really weird detachable cable system that they have there. from the looks of it, the small jack part connected to the headphone piece would be vulnerable to damage if tension acts on the cable.

I haven't heard anyone complain about the jack part breaking before. They are relatively sturdy headphones.

I really like the Koss TBSE1 (Tony Bennett) for that price with a detachable cable and carrying case.
best is subjective though... what are you looking for in a headphone?

Yeah.
 
The Koss and the Superlux have completely different sounds but equally as good value for price.
 
Go for the Superlux if you want super-great clarity with a bright sound signature, bass is decent, great highs, big soundstage, mids are kind of dull and boring.
 
Koss has nice clean natural sound with good clarity and more of a 'fun' bassier sound signature.
